As an example Bank West has an offer right now where you can open up a MasterCard account and enjoy a low 10.75% p.a. interest rate. That’s not an introductory rate, it’s the rate for purchases all the time. It’s a really great rate, and if you carry a balance on your credit cards, it could save you substantially on interest payments.
There is a 59 dollar annual fee for Bank West Credit Cards that will probably be worth it for those who carry balances. If you also figure in their 0 percent interest for 9 months on balance transfers, the annual fee becomes even more worthwhile.
